Project Linus

Project Linus is an organization that peace & Appliqué has be involved with for many year. Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. It is their mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through gifts of new, homemade, washable blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers. Support our Troops

We have been involved in projects providing quilts for wounded troops returning from the Middle East. There is another project that is on-going that could use our support also. It provides neck coolers, helmet liners, and other items for those serving our country. The neck liners are made of muslin, and filled with pellets that expand with water. The coolers are then frozen and used by our troops to keep them cool in the 110-120 degree heat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Visit www.geocities.com/helmetliners to learn more.
